Very pigmented Shade Truly Red
I love the results! The color is very vibrant and shiny. I had a color red that was very washed out in color and had quite a bit of new growth of dark ash brown. I put this on while wearing gloves. I put all my rugs away and started applying around my edges and temples. Then started splitting my hair while focusing on the roots. I then started applying close to my scalp to avoid making a mess. I began working it through my hair with my fingers while Making sure it was covered from root to ends. I took a grocery bag- hey! Donât judge..and covered my head and then tied it in a bow. I took a black wash cloth and wiped off my face and neck that got dripped on. waited 15 minutes. While waiting I cleaned up my vanity and sink. Scrubbing bubbles sprayed onto any spots where the dye may have landed takes it off like a charm. Hopped in the shower and rinsed what felt like days for the water to not be bright red running off my head and onto the bottom of the tub. I washed my hair twice as well as conditioned it. The water was still quite orange but we let it go. I grabbed my scrappy towel to dry my hair, used heat protection spray then dried and styled as usual. Iâll sleep with a towel over my pillowcase tonight since I sweat like Hellâs Kitchen but hey! It looks freaking amazing! I love it so much. Oh, and your tub will be stained. But donât worry! Spray with Scrubbing bubbles and a give a quick wipe down. Rinse and itâs like nothing ever happened!

Fun-Easy-A little messy-Will Buy Again
My hair is wavy and down to the middle of my back. Iâm naturally brown hair and about 50% gray, Iâve added the before pictures just so you could see how crazy itâs been growing out and pretty much ugly because I havenât colored it in about 10 weeks. My hair has always been colored on the red side out of a box permanent color. This is the first time Iâm using a semi permanent hair color color and first time going with a non-natural standard color. I am trying only the Magenta by itself.Iâm putting these notes together as Iâm doing the process so I can tell you, I have No Idea how this is going to turn out. ðHereâs what I did:1.) I mixed the hair color with about a third of white conditioner and mixed it.2.) I added a mixture of shampoo and conditioner below the hairline to try to prevent skin staining. Iâm always challenged when it comes to these home jobs.3.) Went into the shower and sat on the floor with the mixed dye and my gloves on. I have long hair, so I leaned over the bowl of mixture, which is rather runny as people have mentioned. Applied mixture to hair carefully while leaning over the bowl to make sure none of the product got on my shower floor.4.) From there, I cleaned the bowl while still in shower by adding water and pouring it directly down the drain to keep it from spreading throughout the shower floor. I did this a few times until it ran kind of pink. I also washed my comb which cleaned up just fine. I placed the rinsed bowl on a dark towel in case pink might show up from any leftover water. Put the bowl in the sink until end of process cleanup.5.) I didnât use my comb throughout any of the application except to mix the conditioner and the hair color because I couldnât find my hair dye brush. It worked fine. Cleaned up perfectly.6.) Then, I wrapped my head in plastic wrap as best as I could without really looking at what I was doing. Just enough to keep the drips off my skin and the hair up.7.) Sat on the porch for 45 minutes with a glass of wine and waited. Thoughts running through my head thinking I must be crazy and this is a total home experiment. I am nervous.ð¬ð¬8.) Cool rinsed in the shower with without shampoo. Because I use the curly girl method to keep hair from looking too fried, I figure the leave-in conditioner is just fine instead if the suggested shampooing for the moment (today?). Iâll shampoo with my low poo later today just to make sure I donât leave product wherever I put my head (pillows) later.8.) Went out for dinner with hubby. He likes the color.Update: This color has lasted much longer than I thought it would. I wash my hair about 2x a week with low-poo so that may be why it has lasted so long. My roots have grown out and need touch-up but the color is great. I like color while it softens with washes. Going to try Cajun Spice next. Wonder how that will turn out on top of this Magenta. ð¤July 21 – posted a picture of just Magenta color about a month old. Roots are dark with grays and rest of hair is quite bright magenta1. Just going to go for it with Cajun Spice color right over the old- no conditioner mix and no heat2. Results pic posted – my thoughtsâ¦. Drum rollâ¦ð

Doesn’t last long but looks good!
The color is very cute and I put it on already bleached hair. It was very vibrant the first day but faded fairly quickly after a few washes. That’s to be expected for semi-permanent dyes though. The best part was it was non damaging to the already pretty damaged hair. I mixed it with a hair mask and so my hair was very smooth and silky but the color was still so cute. This is also great for people who want a semi permanent dye that is actually natural looking. If you like to switch colors a lot this is perfect but if you want a more permanent color you might wanna look for another brand.

Mystic Gray better than Off Black, which has too much of a green tinge
I’ve tried both colors on my salon-bleached hair. Mystic Gray immediately washes into a gunmetal gray with a whisper of purple/blue, but after a few washes it settles into a very nice glossy, silvery tone, which compliments my medium olive skin. I then tried the Off-Black because a reviewer mentioned it didn’t leave a blue tint. Mistake (at least for me)! My hair turned black and after a few washes my hair was midnight blue and the following week it was a dark teal with a greenish tinge. After four weeks of washing my hair everyday, it’s almost silvery- gray but the greenish tinge remains. Once this washes out, I’ll go back to the Mystic Gray and use it in the shower as a 5-minute conditioner when I need a color boost. This is a great product. It gets the job done in a pinch with salon-quality results.

This stuff is so good! My hair feels a bit like straw but it gets better once you condition and Wash it a bit- it lasts rlly long too; maybe not the same vibrancy but hey it lasted a good 2-3 weeks of warm/hot showers so this stuff can last real good ^_^
love the hairdye!! i think its very accurate to the bottle once you had conditioner to dilute it a bit! would repurchase –
the color was very accurate to the bottle, i would use conditioner to dilute it a bit tho!! used this for calico hair and it lasts about 2 weeks

Used for a mixed red-black look, and this dye was fantastic! It’s worth noting this is a brown-based black; when it fades, your hair will fade to brown rather than blue or green like some other black dyes. I would recommend leaving the dye in for a while, as I found at first it turned my hair a dark brown (I applied it over blondey-orange hair), but after a second application, it was a perfect jet black. Definitely the longest-lasting semi-permanent black dye I’ve used as well, I find other semi-permanent blacks fade quickly, but this one lasts a bit longer. It will require some monthly upkeep, but I didn’t have to redye more than once a month. 5 stars!

It worked like a charm, gave me such a vibrant and pretty red! I’ve been dying my hair for about 4 years now, and Adore lasts the longest of any semi-permanent dye I’ve used before. My hair was a peachy pink-orange before dying and it covered that all perfectly. It bleeds slightly in your first few showers, but eventually, it only tints the water a bit pink. I also found it came out of towels really easy! Just a quick run through the washing machine and they were all good as new. Cannot recommend this dye enough.
