I use with PCB rework and these are great for precision cleaning using 91% or higher isopropyl alcohol. The cotton is tightly wound meaning less cotton being left behind and the bamboo sticks make for sturdier use.

Now that I’m older these q-tips have made my life that much easier. When that makeup onmy eyes go places I don’t want, this precision tool takes care of it fast and simple. I wish I had theseyears ago! My husband likes them to because he says its much easier to clean his ears. Even thoughhe doesnt put them down into the ear canal. I use cotton swabs to remove painting “boo boos” in my dot painting projects. Just roll the swab over the “boo boo” and the paint is gone. This works especially well when your base coat has a satin finish. I was using a similar product that was pointed on one end and flat on the other. It troubled me that half the product was going to waste as I had no need for the flat ends. With this product I use both ends. I snip off the used ends and keep the bamboo sticks to use in other craft projects.The cotton swab is not as fat as specialty cotton swabs designed for use with cosmetics and the very tip is slightly softer as well. So if you need a fatter swab or a very stiff tip, this product may not work for you. For the purpose I’m using it for, the less bulk in the swab is actually an advantage and the slightly softer tip is a non issue. For my purpose, not only is it good enough, it’s half the price since I get to use both ends.

The price is incredible, but I wanted to be using these for doing nails. I am a nail tech and was looking for a very pointy tip to get in around the cuticle of the nail and clean up polish. These came very compressed and the tips are rounded in 90% of the package. They are also very fuzzy and soft – anyone who does nails knows fuzzies are the devil lol.
