I love the mermaid styling throughout the brushes. They all have the shape and feel of a mermaid tail but it isn’t aggressive against your hand. If you are a professional mua you may only like these for the cuteness of it. Then again if you are really a professional you can probably slay with anything right? LolI like that the handles aren’t one style then they just through some black or white plain bristles up there for the brushes. They really took care to put matching bristles in the brush with the tips matching the theme. They also gave a nice variety of 12 brushes and a cute barrette.The brushes included were: a blending brush, eyeshadow brush, kabuki brush, blush brush, fan brush, powder brush, concealer brush, lip brush, eyebrow brush, nasal shadow brush, and foundation brush. My fan brush was a bit unfanned and I’m unsure if I received two kabuki brushes or two concealer brushes which is why I gave the 4 stars. I haven’t tested them out yet or decided if i want to gift them but I if I did try them the most I would probably use are the eyeshadow brush and the lip brush. This is not a bad brush set, mostly. I always like brushes that have fun handles, and sometimes these fun handles come attached to really good brushes. In this set, most of the brushes are very good. Some of them aren’t. I don’t know if it’s unique to the individual brushes or if in all sets the fan brush just won’t cut it while the foundation brush is awesome. For the smaller brushes, most of them have dense, even bristles that seem to be well anchored, soft, and hold product well. But others, as well as the fan brush, the bristles are horribly uneven. On eye make up brushes, this is not okay, since they’ll drag bits of make up all over. It seems in some cases the brushes were trimmed with less care, and in others they are shedding. All the same, at this cost, you have some very good brushes with cute handles. Still worth it. The mermaid hair clip is adorable! I think, personally, anyone who is young enough to look right in this hair clip is probably too young to have their own set of brushes. It could be a cute gift for your daughter or niece or just not worry what anyone thinks and be the crazy older woman with the cute mermaid clip.

Get what you pay for
Very cheap set, two brushes broken and the rest sheading as well as the mermaid clip missing sequence. Overall it is a very cheaply made set not worth the $7 price tag.

I love anything mermaid my neice had a little mermaid theme birthday party and I knew this would be the perfect gift! These makeup brushes are surprisingly great quality!! They are super soft bristles that can carry product super well without absorbing it and the bristles are not cheap so there isn’t bristle fall out on your face. Each of the brushes has a little mermaid tail at the end which is super cute, I love the color of these and the design is great! Super cute and such a great gift!
