The sponge does not have an odor and is easy to grip and use. Love how helpful it is in cleaning dishware, counters, etc. I am glad I took a chance on this product. Compared to Costco’s non-biodegradable sponge, I am very pleased to not have to fill the landfills more. I will be sharing this product name with friends and family.

Great alternative
These scrub/clean like a typical, non-biodegradable sponge. The scrubber top is a bit stiffer and seems to separate more quickly from the cellulose portion of the sponge. We tend to go through one a week, it gets quite a bit of daily use with our family of 5 so itâs about equal to maybe slightly less durable than the non-biodegradable alternative. Overall, it does the job and we will continue to purchase this as our standard kitchen sponge going forward. We also appreciate the simple white and beige appearance over the traditional pastel sponge colors.

Truly better option
Ok so Iâve been looking for more sustainable options for cleaning my house. I have tried papaya type rags but because they donât have a âscrubâ side and I feel like I donât want to use 1 of those for bathrooms and kitchen cleaning. They are pretty pricey to be getting a lot of them as well. When I saw this product, I felt this could be my solution and so far so good.First they feel and work just like any other sponge on the market when it comes to absorbing and scrubbing. Feels very durable as well even though itâs biodegradable. I also like the color for it in that it reminds me of a coconut with white center and coir outside texture.The only thing is I feel like I have to update this review in several months to see the longevity as well as if these in fact do as they say and fulfill the requirement of breaking down in an environmental way once they have surpassed their purpose. But absolutely would make these our 1 and only if that is the case.

Works like a sponge should, scrubby part is sharp
This look, feel, and behave like any regular kitchen sponge you’re probably used to using. They’re the same size, thickness, and shape as regular kitchen sponges. They work exactly the same as the types of kitchen sponge you’re familiar with.The main flaw is the scrubby part is bizarrely sharp. The way these come in a box it’s really hard to get them out, and I actually sort of cut myself on one of the sponges while trying to get one out. Maybe it’s the biodegradable plant fiber that’s making the scrubby side so sharp? It didn’t draw blood or anything, but it hurt!I obviously can’t really comment on how biodegradable these sponges are since I don’t have a time machine or a lab to test them in.

Very tough!
I honestly thought these sponges would be brittle and fall apart easily. I was definitely proven wrong. These are just as strong and durable as the typical sponges made from (probably) plastic.The scrubber side is a bit smoother, but I can’t tell any difference in cleaning power. I can still scrub my dishes well enough- even when I have baked on gunk on my pans.I’ll definitely keep getting these. Eco friendly and worth the price.

I bought these since they are a natural sponge the only reason I won’t buy them again is that the string that’s in them tends to loosen within time and the sponge itself gets old fast

Great alternative to synthetics!
These hold up and wash well and seem to last a long as the normal synthetics. Love that it’s all natural and biodegradable though! You can argue the coconut scrubs better!
