Lattafa Asad Zanzibar for Men Eau de Parfum Spray. 3.4 Ounce

Holy shinola…this stuff ROCKS!!
Sprayed it on paper and got the waxy iris and some kind of vanilla in the background…nice, but I wasn’t blown away. I let the paper sit while I ate dinner and watched youtube videos…smelling it every now and then. It pretty much stayed the same on paper…that dry waxy iris with some bright citrus and vanilla…very nice.Then I went to take a shower and get cleaned up, after doing the “Triple-S” I decided to try two sprays of “Asad-Z” on chest. Immediately got a creamy vanilla on skin as the scent wafted up to my nose/face. Then the bright Iris hit. I wasn’t waxy like it smelled on paper!!Then I noticed how loud it was…two sprays of most other fragrances aren’t this powerful. THAT is the kind of performance I like!! It is now 2 hours later and I’m still getting the same P-U-S-H from those two sprays to my chest. VERY NICE!!!It almost feels like as this develops, the iris takes a backseat to some kind of dry woodiness and a creaminess that takes over the fragrance.This is very….odd.It’s sweet and creamy vanilla…with this dry woodiness in the background.I’m not getting any coconut or anything like it.This fragrance reminds me of “Victoria Secret – Tease Creme Cloud”…just sweeter and with Iris in it.I’m going to give it a full-day wear to work tomorrow and then I’ll give it a final rating.But so far…this is a winner!!23APR24:Welp, wearing this to work today with a layer of “Burberry Goddess” and it’s WONDERFUL!!The sweetness of “Goddess”, the Dry powderiness of “Zanzibar”….awesome!I figured out why it reminds me of my “VS – Tease Creme Cloud”, its got that “Black Pepper” that stays persistent in the fragrance aura. Its in the background…but its constantly there.Sillage trail on this one….MASSIVE!!I left a trail of Zanzibar from the entry of the security checkpoint all the way to the bus depot on the other side of the building. I could hear people coming into the security checkpoint saying how nice it smelled in the building, lol.Walking around, I can smell “Zanzibar” over the “Goddess” because of the dry-woodiness of “Zanzibar”.I am still picking up on the sweet lavender of “Goddess”, but everything else…ZANZIBAR!I’m still not getting any “Coconut” from this, just the Iris, Vanilla and Black Pepper.But you know what…that’s just find with me.I’d once built a fragrance with Vanilla, Black Pepper and Cedar and loved it while I had it. I moved on and never went back to make another bottle…but this “Zanzibar” gives the same kinda feel and all I’ve gotta do is spray and enjoy.I think I’m going to enjoy this even more once it macerates and gets better in a month or so. I’ll be wearing it at least once or twice a week though. I’m looking forward to seeing how my inner circle feel about it when I wear it around them all…26APR24:I don’t know what happened, but the creaminess factor of this fragrance went into overdrive tonight. I smell like a vanilla ice cream cone….holy shinola!!!I need a backup bottle ASAP!! 😲😲😲❤️❤️❤️❤️

Smells good and last
I saw the cologne on tiktok and was shocked by the reviews, this is my first time buying a cologne without smelling it and i was not disappointed. It is very masculine but not over powering and last longer than I expected. I work 12 hrs and get compliments the whole shift. It is musky, with soft hints of coconut and vanillaish but still masculine. My father who is in his mid 50s likes the smells as well so it suits all ages. I definitely recommend and will be purchasing again.

Interesting notes for sure
This is an interesting smell. I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it either—it’s perplexing to me. The best way I can describe it is if you’ve been to a Southern California beach (let’s take Santa Monica) and you’re sitting on the beach with your toes in the sand and you get that smell of salty/mildewy sand…yep, that’s what it smells like. I know there is other notes in it, but I get salty/earthy above all other notes. I def do not get vanilla or fresh—it’s earthy and different and I think you’re either gonna love or hate it.I layered this with MM Beachealk (thinking the salty notes would blend well) but it was a fail. I think there is likely a perfect laying component to keep this perfume/cologne in your rotation, but I’m not sure what it is. To me though, this isn’t anything I’d wear as a standalone.Hope this helps!

Great casual scent
Keeps growing on me. In my opinion, this is a more playful scent than the more serious Asad. Starts of as a strong Pina colada and morphs into a smooth creamy coconut. Great for a casual night out.Package delivered with no issue.
