Still works great.Initial ReviewI am to rate its ease to hold, to use, and in traveling. Those are fine. Full disclosure, I don’t drive and shave. Haha! I chose to rate well they perform. A close shave is not subjective – it is or it is not close. I also chose to rate whether or not I got what I paid for. That dropped 3 stars. I’ll update this when we figure out the foil shaver battery.The star of this show is the foil shaver BB-0909. It shaves very nicely and very close. It is sad to say there is no way to charge the battery. Do I just throw it away when the battery dies? Is the packaging missing a special screwdriver to open the unit? I don’t know. Presumably somewhere inside the unit is a 5V battery. The accompanying paperwork shows the BB-0909 and writes about corded operation. There is no USB port in the BB-0909 to accommodate such. I’m not sure how to get to the battery compartment or if the BB-0909 is user serviceable. The paperwork shows a USB port at the end of the foil shaver. There is not one. There is one on the trimmer. In case you’re wondering, the other side of the page pictured is a picture of the trimmer and its operating instructions.As for the performance of the trimmer, it gets 5 stars also. I gave it to my husband and he loves it. The adjustments are smooth and blades are sharp. I can’t tell whether the blades are replaceable. I will say that in the case of both the trimmer and the shaver, the manufacturer recommends oiling the ‘specified areas’ of both. That is typical of units requiring maintenance with an expectation of shelf-life.These are beautiful. It’s clear the manufacturer wanted to take great care to create a product to be proud of. This was close to the total package. Trim then shave close where/when you want. Too bad it didn’t work.

I have a couple tips
Overall, so far I like this razor. First time in ages I “enjoyed” shaving my legs. Out of the box I used the larger razor for my legs. It didn’t work very well so I was disappointed. The corners of the blade are super sharp. THEN I READ THE DIRECTIONS. I hate spending time reading directions. However, in this case I recommend it. I’ve sent pictures w highlighted points. i.e. oil/lube blades before using, using it while it is plugged in is possible but reduces the life of the battery, etc. Just a few tips. Take a quick look. It says it comes with oil but didn’t get that, bummer. Luckily I have sewing machine oil. Also sent a picture of what was in my box. I got 4 attachments + 2 blade guards. There should be 3-different sizes of blade guards, I got 2 and they appear to be the same size. The 4 attachments are all for the small razor. The hair trimmer has blades and a strip of foil between. That’s what I enjoyed- it didn’t stick or burn and was VERY smooth and actually gave a nice clean shave with one pass. Of course not like a disposable, but no niks or cuts with this! It actually felt really nice. Take away: use the small razor for legs, the large one is for beards and haircuts. There is also a straight edge blade for eye brow trims, a nose hair trimmer and a round foil hair trimmer option. I sent a pic of how the round pieces go on/the trimmer comes off. 2 pieces come off, the round one goes on. That is not in the instructions.All was charged out of the box, but only lasted about 45 minutes. Charged it overnight and it’s still going. Shouldn’t be a problem. I was afraid of getting one of the lemons in that case. In the photo you’ll see the small razor with the gold bottom taken off. That’s where the charging port is. Some of these pieces pop off, some you have to give it a tiny twist so don’t break it like I almost didThe best for last. The noise level is so nice. Kind of a low buzz or hum-it doesn’t even vibrate, so my arthritic hands don’t hurt. It’s so quiet my very reactive dog accepted it, though suspicious at first. No barking or attacking and biting the poor instrument. My vacuum really takes a beating!I love the rose gold trim and that’s really the only other thing I need to be happy with it so it passed all the tests addressing some of the comments, except the missing blade guards. I’m glad I spent a little extra money to get what I really wanted and that’s important to me!

Beautiful set, seems well built. One little problem
UPDATING this review July 9. I emailed the company at their hotmail address provided with the unit, they have not responded. The bikini trimmer, which holds all the attachments, does not charge via the USB cable. When this unit runs out of its battery it is not longer useable and neither are the attachments. Also, there is no replacing whatever battery is holding the charge. The larger hair trimmer will charge via the USB cable. The instruction booklet only mentions charging the large hair trimmer with no mention of the smaller trimmer. Bottom line is the information online is incomplete and misleading. Returned today.*********Opened this product and it’s lovely. The large trimmer comes with a USB cord. Products are fully charged when received. I read through the instructions and cannot find how you charge the bikini trimmer? Also, the instructions say ” before use be sure to apply oil to five different positions before using”. They say the oil is included and it’s not – I can deal with this. However, if the bikini trimmer cannot be charged, why keep it? Not sure how to contact Blibee, all roads lead to returns. Can someone please explain how to charge the small trimmer? Thank you in advance.
