I’m a Perricone MD Intensive Pore Minimizer kind of girl. The Perricone product works, but I went vegan and I know that Dr. Perricone does uses DMAE which is derived from wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon. I love that Perricone product and I thought all was lost when I had to give it up as nothing gave me those type of results: deep down clean, blackhead removal, exfoliation, and skin clearing.Alba’s Deep Clean Astrigent isn’t as dramatic of an improvement as the Perricone’s Intensive Pore Minimizer, Dr. Perricone offers a deeper exfoliation. That being said, I’m satisfied with the Alba product and felt refreshed. My skin felt smooth. I’m sure my pores will get in line after a few more uses. Perricone’s was a more immediate result, but for a natural product Alba’s is the best natural product I’ve tried.Made my skin tingle a bit reminiscent of Sea Breeze. It’s an official astringent which is intended to tighten the appearance of pores. It removed the residue of cleanser that remained after I used my Clairisonic brush which is usually minimal, but it picked up some gunk. I love the refreshing way my skin felt after use.My skin is combination: dry cheeks with an oily t-zone. I break out during the hormonal phase. I’m in my 30’s and am concerned mainly with fine lines and uneven skin tone. The texture of my skin is baby smooth, but I notice fine lines on the forehead and enlarged pores on and around the nose. I chose this product to use in conjunction with my cleansing, exfoliating, toning, treatment, moisturize, protection routine.

Really works after years of acne I finally found something that works.
Used for acne ( blackheads, whiteheads, the ones with pus) included a before and after pic. Makes my skin feel so clean but doesn’t dry it out. I have the wash, the astringent, the spot treatment, the scrub ( I only use the scrub for body acne) and the pimple patches). I used the wash 2x a day and the astringent 2x a day at first to clear things up, after the breakouts were gone I do the astringent 2x a day but the wash only at night and do a more hydrating wash in the morning.

Noticeable Impact
This toner is gentle but strong and makes a big difference all by itself.I’ve tried so many other products. I was getting frequent, deep, and painful zits and nothing seemed to be working all that well. When I added this toner to my regimen, the frequency of those dropped off significantly. I thought, well, if the toner did this much what about their other products? So I purchased their cleanser and enzyme mask and holy cow! I get maybe one pimple a week, and they are usually superficial, and below my jaw line because I’m not always thorough about washing there. The mask makes my skin soft, and makes it seem brighter so I don’t need to wear was much makeup. I’m not usually one to rave about a product but I’m really impressed.Another reviewer gave this one star because they noticed their face was oily 3 hours later… Well, as the owner of an oily face I can say pretty much nothing will solve that all day long– and you don’t necessarily want anything to. Any toner or wash that absolutely strips your face of oil for hours is a bad idea, because then your oil glands will overcompensate and BOOM more acne and more shine. It’s best to carry around those oil-absorbing sheets that can pick it up without removing makeup or even just using a tissue.

favorite toner-but the bottle came leaked and only 1/3 full!
i’ve used this toner for the better part of a decade; it’s effective, gentle, non offensive odor, quickly absorbs and wholly wonderful. however, occasionally i receive a bottle that doesnt have its safety seal on and has, as a result, leaked almost entirely out during shipping. If i could find it in a store near me i’d solve the issue, but so far amazon is my only option.

I’ve been using product for about 3 years now it’s one of the best astringents out there. Helps reduce the acne on the my face. And I received the product much before the committee delivery time!
