Let’s be honest, we all have some level of vanity. Why look 70 in your 50s if you don’t have to. Plus there are practical reasons, age discrimination can be a factor in work and personal life. If you’re like me, your hair is more salt than pepper and getting more so every year. Just for Men Touch of Gray brings back the “pepper” without turning your hair jet black (which looks really fake once you’re over 45 years old IMO). I’ve been using this stuff for years.If you decide to try it, here are a couple of tips:- Plan to wear a full zipper top or no top during the process. If you try pulling a shirt over your head while the dye is working it will likely get stained.- Use some Vaseline on the skin all around your hairline and ears to prevent staining your skin.- Wear the provided gloves, again to prevent staining of your hands.- Make sure to work the dye in really well everywhere, especially making sure the back of your head gets saturated.- Ignore the short wait time in the instructions, you need to leave the dye in for 20-30 minutes to get a good effect. Don’t worry, it will not turn your hair jet black, even if you leave it in too long.- After the wait process, I don’t wash out the dye, initially I just rinse it out in the shower and wash my hair next time. I think this helps the dye to set better.- I have relatively short hair and can get 2 applications out of one tube. Just make sure to cap the tube tightly with no air at the top. Air activates the dye. Also rinse out the applicator comb so it can be used a 2nd time.- An application lasts me about 4 weeks as the color fades. I apply right after getting a haircut. If you’re sensitive to people noticing, this is a more discreet way of making the change with the haircut as a diversion.If you don’t mind your whitening hair, more power to you. But if not, this is definitely worth a try.

These are great. After many years of planning to never color or shade my hair my youngest son got a little tired of being asked if he was having a good time with his grandpa when just the two of us would be out and around. After trying several types this is what I like the best by far I can re apply any week, usually every 6-7 weeks for me and its shuttle. At first the changes were very noticeable and I got a lot of grief from my male friends and compliments from female acquaintances. This week my wife was looking at some old pictures and asked when I was going to let my hair go back to the “distinguished wise grey” look because she liked it so much. As I was listening to her and replying I noticed my son in the far background listening in with an upset look on his face. When I said I might keep it for a long time his face lit up. I think I’ll keep doing it. My son wins out over what my wife and I would prefer. I’ll remind him ten years from now when he is older why I dyed my hair despite all my life hating even the idea of it but I think he will remember! A side benefit is I actually have also lost weight and look and FEEL younger. Amazing what a less than $100 a year expense can do. I’m glad a tried the “dying” thing and really glad I found this product. It is much better for me than the others. By the way I did do the full dark brown and then full dark black straight from near white so that first month or two was a real change and I was a little self conscious though anyone that asked me about it, when I told them about my “grandpa” encounters with my son, they all really liked the idea I did ask my son first if he would want me to try it and he very much did want me too. One of the other benefits about this over the color dyes is that the others, as they wore off, left an unnatural looking color or sheen until I re dyed, which I did not like at all. This touch of grey product for some reason does not do that so I do not feel forced to redo at any particular time. It is just when I want to. Never in my life would I have thought I would ever try a hair dye, certainly not tell anyone if I did, but I’m glad I did and this product is great….. Now watch…. A new company will buy out this one, change the formula to save money and it won’t be as good. I hope not. It’s great the way it is
