A happy reintroducton and all time favorite!
My grandma tuned me into this stuff when I was just in HS. As a swimmer, it kept the chlorine dryness at bay. I used it through college whenever mom or grandma got it in the free gift.I have since gone through phases with different moisturizers — having worked in beauty PR for a good chunk of my career I had access to a lot of prestige products that I’d never be able to afford otherwise but I returned to this one for travel in my 30s as I needed something that kept my skin better hydrated for long haul flights, which was just throwing my face into chaos for days every timw and holy wow, it is so good! Easily my top even over pricier prestige moisturizers. The formula is updated to hydrate longer than when I was younger, it feels instantly quenching but silky, light, and not sticky at all. My skin has improved (and it keeps it happy on flights!), I get fewer breakouts, it layers nicely over my serums, and provides a great base for my sunscreen and makeup — no pilling! My other go-to, a cream moisturizer from a competitor in the same category/price point, pills so much with SPF that I’ve defaulted using this even though I’m not out of the other.Clinique has a great, generational thing going with this one and thank goodness they have kept it consistent all these years. So worth the cost!

Pleasantly surprised!
At first I wasn’t sure if this was worth the price, but I decided to do a side-by-side comparison just on the eye area with several other products I own. This product won hands down every time. There was always a noticeable difference for the better on the Clinique side. The Clinique Moisture Surge really smooths out fine wrinkles and keeps the area soft for hours, although it didn’t do much for my eye puffiness-but in all fairness, none of them did.The result wasn’t a tacky or greasy feeling, just nice and smooth. It seemed like it would also be a great primer for eyeshadow. I will have to try that next. Overall, I was impressed with this product.

Extreme sensitive skin review
Right now I have extremely sensitive skin due to being on prescription tretinoin hydroquinone cream from my dermatologist. This is the ONLY cream besides vanicream I can use on my face that doesn’t sting and actually moisturizes my extremely dry skin due to tretinoin hydroquinone! I have tried many other sensitive skin brands and spent a lot of money. This sinks into the skin much better than vanicream and does not leave that greasy feeling after. I would recommend this for very dry sensitive skin and also people that don’t like greasy creams. It wears well under both makeup and sunscreen which is very important to me! The texture is like a gel cream. It feels very soft and silky on the skin. It absorbs quickly. No scent! This and the all about eyes rich pie perfectly together. At night I apply this Clinique and then my tretinoin hydroquinone on top and then an Additional layer of the Clinique. In the morning I only use Clinique and then sunscreen and then my makeup. This is an honest review no paid review here I purchased with my own money.

Makes my skin smooth and silky soft while also moisturizing. My new fav, worth the money.
