It’s true that sugaring is less painful than waxing, somehow.
It’s true that sugaring is less painful than waxing, somehow, despite the fact they operate in just about the same way. I do find it slightly less effective as waxing, and necessary to repeat sections. The directions are sparse and kind of incorrect. You have more options for heating the sugar wax, and don’t require special equipment. (You can even use a hairdryer for small applications.) However the wax is very drippy. You don’t wait for it to harden before peeling it off, you press one of the non-woven strips down onto the sugar wax and peel back quickly in the opposite direction of hair growth. I found it way too drippy and sticky to remove without one of the non-woven strips. Even though this is the same way you wax, somehow the sugar version is less painful. You may have to repeat a section more than once to get everything. You will need way more non-woven strips than come in the sugar wax.Wax residue is no fun to clean up, especially places other than the skin or on those brow hairs you want to keep. Sugaring on the other hand is way more drippy and likely to get unwanted places, but dissolves away with water. Sort of a pick your poison type of choice. Happy sugaring!

    First time user
For someone who has never waxed before, it was fairly simple. You definitely need a warmer to keep the wax at temperature, but throwing it into the microwave every now and again works too, it’s what I did as I don’t have a warmer. It dissolves in hot water easily and I really like that the straps are reusable, although, I don’t think they work as good when wet. I’m sure there’s a better method than what I did, but overall I enjoyed using this product.

    Not for beginners
It was hard to get the perfect temperature for this wax. I’ve definitely had an easier time with different brands.

    It Works
I’ve found that sugar wax comes off easier than other hot wax and this one was great. It seemed a little thin and did not always get 100% coverage but it also never irritated my skin. It was also easy to clean up afterwards and did not leave a crazy mess. Be sure to watch the video on the page if you are new to it as it gives a good overview. Recommend it!

    Horrible
I brought this instead of my usual sugaring paste to save money and its not worth it. It ripped my hairs instead of pulling them out. It’s two weeks later and I’m still finding ingrown hairs on my legs. I was using more product per leg. It stuck to my skin more. Just bad

    Messy
This sugar wax is made in China. I was hoping to find a replacement for a sugar wax I used to use and love. Unfortunately this is isn’t it. The instructions are definitely not quite right especially on the temperature. I found it difficult to use and apply and incredibly messy as it left strings of sugar everywhere. Only comes with a few reusable cloth strips. I was able to get some of my leg hair removed, but it wasn’t as clean as I was hoping it to be.

    Best sugaring paste I’ve used
Been sugaring for years and this is by far the best one I’ve tried, I use it for my underarms and bikini , it’s a bit tricky if you’re not used to sugaring so use a disposable cloth ,no irritation afterwards, leaves the skin soft.

    Beginner friendly, affordable, less messy
I’m new to waxing (but epilate often), and I found this pretty easy to do. There are no instructions in the box, but the video on the product page is very helpful. You can use this stuff like more traditional wax with a few strips included, but why would you. With the recommended walnut-size glob I was able to wax both of my calves (and I have long legs). I probably could have done a little more with the same bit of sugar, but I was tired. I had a tiny bit of wax left on my legs when I was done, but most of it I was able to just pick up along the way. Clean up was easy, just water. I had wanted to try sugaring for a while, and I think this kit is a good price for how much waxing it can acomplish, and a good introduction to the technique.
