Teardrop wand
I love this curling wand. I have thicker hair and doesnât really holds anything but it gave it a nice wavy curl look that I love.

Not sure what teardrop design means
This is a good enough curling iron if you like the type without a clamp, and I like the size barrel for mid-length or longer hair. I’m not sure what teardrop design is. The barrel looks to be the same size throughout.Maybe my eyes are deceiving me. I’m not a big fan of a heat dial that is just numbers. It says it goes up to 400 degrees with 30 settings. Well, yes, there is a dial that goes up to 30. What do they mean? Do I have to divide 400 by 30 and figure it out?

Auto Turn Off is Too Quick
The auto turn off feature is for safety, but it turns off before I can even finish using it which makes me not realize that Iâm curling my hair with a barrel that is no longer hot. Very frustrating

Really neat curls!
I found the curls this wand gave me to be unique! Definitely beach wavy if you do thicker sections. But you could also get some fun, tighter 1920’s style waves too (with product and small enough sections). But with that said, this wand did not work well on my hair type. I have very thick, frizzy, long hair. My hair needs an awful lot of consistent, close up heat for a curl to hold and last. Unfortunately, this wand doesn’t have a clamp closure. And so it’s was impossible for me to get my hair close enough throughout the entire length of a strand. I’ve had this problem with every curling iron tool that you used your fingertips, so I can’t necessarily blame this product or say it wasn’t expected. I considered leaving it at five stars because I still believe the product performs as promised. And I think it would work great for lots of hair types. With that said, this curling iron still gets very hot. I burnt my fingertips and the sides of my hands a couple times, even after I felt I had learned to use it properly. I will say that I am surprise this didn’t come with heat resistant gloves. It’s been 36 hours since I last curled my hair with a wand, and the skin that I burned is still sensitive. So they were real burns, and for the lack of gloves I deducted the star.I’ll still keep it around and use it for fun occasions, but for me it’s not one that would use everyday. I would recommend it still as a fun addition!

The perfect beachy wave tool
At first I was confused as to how a tear drop shape curling wand would be any different than you’re average round shaped wand. Based on the photos the shape was still mostly rounded and I had no clue what to expect. Well, if you’re looking to achieve beautiful beachy waves, this tool will do that for you. I often struggled creating nice, textured waves with my usual round curling wand that I often have to incorporate styling products just to work in the texture. But this tear drop shape wand really does what it says and I totally love it. I got a handful of compliments the day I styled my hair with this wand. Beachy waves versus regular curls, there’s a huge difference. Now the only thing I’ll gripe about this tool is that it takes a little longer to heat up and that there isn’t a digital screen that shows the temperature. I’m a modern woman I expect more than just a simple numbered dial. The light flashes while it heats up and then stays steady when ready. I also want to add that it is comfortable to hold and style with AND lightweight which is a huge plus for me since I like to pack a good curling wand with me when travelling and don’t want too much added weight to my bag. If you want beautiful, beachy waves, I highly recommend this wand from Remington. For a $20 styling tool, you’re getting professional results without the high cost.

do not buy
The barrel has a pointy end so whenever you curl your hair it leaves a crease in it I donât understand this. I would not buy it
