    These bobby pins are pretty good. I do wish the package came with more regular bobby pins. It comes with hair pins, regular bobby pins, and then larger bobby pins. I wouldn’t mind it if it came with more bobby pins then hair pins, but we’ll use all of them and overall good quality.

    Smooth — too smooth to stay in my hair
    These feel pretty high quality and are really smooth so they are painless to remove. However the bobby pins don’t stay in my hair, for the same reason. Maybe it’s my hair? In any case, if there’s too much hair in one bobby pin, the strength of the pin wanting to close again coupled with the silky-smooth surface means that the pin just slides out of the bun in my hair. The one day I used them, I was constantly pushing the pins back in place that hadn’t fallen completely out and onto the floor. The way to make these absolutely perfect would be to add a “grip” surface to them. I haven’t tried the U-shaped pins yet, but if it changes my overall review I’ll come back to update this.
